Shine is a Non-Profit Organisation, passionate about the next generation of promising young South Africans!

We offer educational support to under-resourced schools within our local community. We do this by helping Grade 2&3 learners with their reading and writing skills each week. Literacy remains one of the biggest obstacles to academic success in South African schools. This invaluable skill is the foundation for these children to succeed academically.

Our dedicated team of volunteers and paid youth help 300 learners across 2 schools each week in the area of literacy. Overcrowded classrooms make it near impossible for educators to be effective in what they do. We provide these children with the one-on-one help they need.

Our vision is to see our local community THRIVING and EMPOWERED as a result of a good quality EDUCATION.
